Another new year, another resolution, and other weight loss eBook. This article discusses my thoughts, opinions and experience from reading the popular eBook The Truth About Six Pack Abs. Before sharing my thoughts here is a quick summary of what the program is.
The truth about six pack abs was written by a certified personal trainer Michael Geary in 2006 and is marketed as a program to eliminate belly fat and get Hard Rock pack abs 6. If you're reading this article, you probably already know a bit about the program, but have trouble finding information from people who have read the book. Look no further, here we go.
The first pages of the eBook, I have to admit, I got a little motivation. It addressed many issues including being open minded, what to expect with the program, which is required to perform the exercises, which are prepared for change, and be prepared to do some physical activity. I thought this section was more than necessary, but I can understand that he was to lay a good foundation for the program and setting expectations.
The following chapters were devoted to teaching about the differences between healthy and unhealthy fats / carbohydrates, as well as how the body process the food we eat. I am quite knowledgeable about these things so many of the points already understood. However, the manner in which these issues are explained in the book gave a different perspective. Especially the part that explains the differences in the proteins found in the factory farming of animals as opposed to grass-fed / free-range animals.
There were 72 ideas for meal plan on page 48 that contain foods that are easy to do. Included in this section also meals and sampling frequency. I applaud Mike for repeated several times to the point of having food and feeding times provided are only examples and that differ from person to person.
Now you would think with a title like that Truth About Abs eBook mainly to try to get a rock hard stomach, but quite the opposite. Although some chapters are devoted to explaining how to work the abs and what exercises AB are the best, most attention has focussed on how much more effective body workouts are. There is a detailed list of exercises, including pictures and the correct way to execute them. For some of the exercises, the available images were not enough, so I had to spend some time on YouTube to see how the form should look. I love to read and learn about these things, but unless you're really into it, this section of the electronic book might be a bit boring.
Contrary to what the name of the program, this program is not just to get a six pack. To my surprise, ended up being more than one type of diet lifestyle. No extras, no gimmicks, just good old fashioned eating and exercise. I think the book was very well written and had a positive flow in it.
